Bangladesh was a part of Pakistan from 1947 to 1971. After separation from India in 1947 Pakistan was formed so Bangladesh also became a part of Pakistan after the separation. In 1971 Bangladesh was finally separated from Pakistan into an autonomous country. India also helped Bangladesh to become an autonomous state.
