The human nervous system is the body’s control and communication network. It coordinates all voluntary and involuntary actions by transmitting signals between different body parts. The nervous system is divided into two main parts:
1. Central Nervous System (CNS) — includes the brain and spinal cord.
2. Peripheral Nervous System (PNS) — includes nerves that connect the CNS to limbs and organs.
It controls functions such as thought, movement, sensation, and heartbeat through a complex network of neurons that transmit electrical impulses rapidly.
