• (A) Cholas exported textiles, spices, drugs, jewels, ivory and ebony, both to China and to the west.
• (B) Chola rulers closely supervised the activities of merchant guilds.
• (C) Spices were brought from South-East Asia and the Arabs in turn took them to the west.
• (D) Trade existed between Chola empire and China and ambassadors were exchanged.
