Kerela High Court in 1997 declared that " Bandhs are unconstitutional and punitive" because of misuse of it. Court said that it is not an exercise of fundamental freedom. Apart from being a huge blow to economy, they throw normal life out of gear, infringing the veruy concept of freedom.
